i've got a problem with setting up xUbuntu on my computer.

I downloaded the 64bit arm package from the official website and installed my usb stick using https://www.linuxliveusb.com/.

If i start my pc using the usb stick i can choose between starting live-system, installting ubuntu etc. but if i choose one option my display stays black. I'm connected through HDMI-Kable with a TV as monitor. Overscan is disabled in TV Settings for HDMI.

Here are the information about my hardware: https://pastebin.com/kF9kNmVy

  • What official site? You don't provide any official site, linuxliveusb.com is not official, as official sites are related to ubuntu.com (eg. ubuntu.com/download) though some flavor sites take you away from ubuntu.com (eg. ubuntu.com/download/flavours) – guiverc Mar 26 at 3:28
  • Yes, i used that official ubuntu.com website and the right download package. The link i provied is the software i used to setup the USB-Stick. I tought i did not have to link the official ubuntu page. But i did not downloaded any malicious or destroyed image. Thats what i wanted to say. – J. Doe Mar 26 at 10:37
  • Even downloading from the official site doesn't guarantee a perfect download (a single bit wrong can create hours of problems). This link can provide information on verifying your download (tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-how-to-verify-ubuntu) but also to verify the write-to-thumb-drive, when you see a symbol(keyboard?)-in-rectangle & person-in-circle hit a key and a menu appears, you can then select 'check install media' to verify the write & media image is correct. This doesn't take long but saves hours of diagnostics on issues. – guiverc Mar 26 at 10:57
