I have an ASUS X53S laptop with Ubuntu MATE 18.04. My problem is simple - any USB devices I plug in when the system is up don't get detected, they don't ahow up at all. This happens on all my USB ports.

Devices only get detected when the computer is booting up (logging out and back in doesn't work, I have to reboot). Anyone can help? I can supply any additional data you need. Thanks.

Edit:
