I'd like to install Simon speech recognition under ubuntu 16.04 but don't seem to be able to get it to work.

The package seems to be in the repository (see https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=simon&searchon=names&exact=1&suite=xenial&section=all).

However, when I try

sudo apt-get install simon

I keep getting

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package simon

The problem persists after sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade as recommended here "Unable to locate package" while trying to install packages with APT. I also cannot locate the package using apt-cache search simon.

Any help would be much appreciated,
