For days, I can't figure out what is going on with my PC/Ubuntu 18.04.

HW:

CPU: i7-8700

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

OS is installed on Kingston A1000, M.2 - 480GB

RAM: HyperX Predator 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000 so I think HW should be more than OK.

The Ubuntu freezes for short amounts of time (like 0.2 sec), I can see it when I'm writing something (it freezes for moment) or when I scroll in browser (sound starts crackling) or even sometimes when I copy text to clipboard.

I noticed that even scrolling on website increases CPU usage to almost 80% but not sure if it's the problem.

Or - when I started libre office, sound was crackling for some time (0.5 sec).

I have 3 FullHD monitors connected to my GPU - 2 monitors and 1 TV but I it happens even without TV connected - 2 monitors.

Some metrics:

during scrolling

SSD I have 335 GB free from 480 GB.

RAM is not a problem probably:

Throttling because of temperature is unlikely:

Core 4: +37.0°C (high = +82.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 5: +38.0°C (high = +82.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

lscpu returns very different values over time but it is capable to reach higher frequencies so it is not problem too:

Stepping: 10
CPU MHz: 3167.816
CPU max MHz: 4600,0000
CPU min MHz: 800,0000
BogoMIPS: 6384.00

I've installed GPU drivers from PPA and set 415, but I don't think it helped: enter image description here

Even animations are turned off: strong text

Almost all GNOME extensions are off:

I run out of ideas, do you have some?
