I have 3 interfaces. One I want to have a gateway so it can route to the internet. The other two I want to configure without a gateway. I only want one specific layer2 subnet on it.

I'm having problems with netplan. Even when I don't set a gateway for the last 2 interfaces a route appears for them and they always end up being higher in the routing table.

The purpose is to have an IP I can route through. The other 2 interfaces are layer 2 IPs for iSCSI that don't need or require routing.

I've spent the last 2 days working with netplan and and ip. I found a lot of helpful information but the only thing I think might work is to use this link with useroutes=false (How to set default route with netplan, Ubuntu 18.04 server, 2 NIC). I'm hoping I don't have to do that but that I can just get netplan to work.

What is the correct way to do this?
