I think you are all familiar with 'open a new workspace or desktop' in Ubuntu, but I have some problems:

  • When I open some apps in a 'destop 1' and then want to work in another desktop (say, desktop 2) but when I open 'desktop 2' then it shows the apps which I recently opened in 'desktop 1' .
and when i click on any opened apps in 'desktop 2' then it throws me back to 'desktop 1'
  • Like in Linux Mint , when we open 'desktop 2' then it doesn't show any apps opened in 'dekstop 1', we always get clean desktop .
  • Currently, I am using Ubuntu 18.04 with GNOME Unity desktop environment .

So my question is: "how to get a clean desktop without show any opened apps of previous desktop?"

  • @pomsky sorry for not understanding my question and i'm using Ubuntu with unity , I am trying to say that when i am working in 'desktop 2' then dock shows the opened apps of 'desktop 1' and i was trying to post two screenshots with html code <img src="/home/abhishek/Desktop/desktop 1.png"> but it is not working . – Abhishek kamal Dec 27 '18 at 3:12
  • Did you install Unity manually? Ubuntu 18.04 comes with GNOME by default. – pomsky Dec 27 '18 at 8:57
