This is my first post and please forgive if i am asking something very trivial. I tried several things that I read on the forum but couldn't figure out a solution that works for me.

I installed Ubuntu 16.04 and trying to connect to my corporate network. I want to make sure it is not an issue with my system settings before I approach network admin.

I cannot ping the default gateway even though I get an IP address. I only have eth and no wireless option.
