Only a few of the system event sounds are playing on Ubuntu 18.10, like closing Firefox with multiple tabs open, adjusting volume, and inserting a usb device. However, when I do things such as emptying the trash or closing the terminal with a running process on, the warning dialog pops up but no sound plays when there should be. I checked in dconf Editor to make sure that system sound events are on (they are) and that the correct sound theme is selected (Yaru), and I got nowhere. How can I enable the other sounds that are supposed to play at those times?
