My Kensington Orbit trackball has been working with Linux and my Lenovo Thinkpad for years. After upgrading to kernel 4.15.0 it would occasionally stop working and I'd have to replug it. Suddenly that no longer works. The device has power (red LED's are lit) and the device shows in lsusb. It's the same for all USB ports. I tried my spare trackball, same model and brand, no luck. My old Logitech USB mouse works on the Lenovo, so I think it's a driver issue. I saw the posts that recommend doing rmmod usbhid, but this gives an error because that driver is in use by Wacom (the touchpad.) How can I either install an updated driver or uninstall the current one so a good driver can reinstall?
