I use Ubuntu dual booted with Windows in Acer Nitro 5 laptop.

Looks like your kernel is the one to blame here, can you please paste the return of uname -a and systemd-analyze critical-chain ?



ivrs_ioapic[4]=00:14.0 ivrs_ioapic[5]=00:00.2

solved the problem for me on the same laptop.

interverting the [4] and the [5] lead to kernel hang.
