I have Ubuntu 16.04 installed on a Intel NUC mini PC that I use as a server.

Since a couple of days ago (noticed it after there was a power cut), the external display that I connect to the NUC is not detected anymore. However, the Ubuntu OS is working, because the Apache, e.a. is working and I can connect through a Remote Desktop session from another PC.

I tried using another HDMI cable, no success.

I also tried to connect to my TV (the only other screen I have), and that worked without any problem, even with the same cable.

So, I guess it's only the one monitor that is not detected...

Are there any suggestions that I can try to detect what is not running on the Ubuntu or why it is not recognizing the monitor?
