When I run
lshw on my laptop with SATA disk on Ubuntu 18 I see for my disk:
*-scsi:1 physical id: 2 logical name: scsi2 capabilities: emulated *-disk description: ATA Disk
I suspect my hard drive is working slower due to this additional level of abstruction. Why is it needed? Can't Linux work with SATA natively? Or maybe printout means quite different thing...
