Having trouble upgrading from 16.04 LTS to 18.04.1 LTS.

Getting this error during the process

"while scanning your repository information no entry about artful"

Any help is appreciated. I made a full vm backup before I started and rolled back completely to be safe. Can't find much on the web to find a solution.

  • You should also check the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ directory. Please add output of grep -r artful /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ to the question.

    Output is nothing. I do not have any Ubuntu 17.10 (Artful Aardvark) repos, why would my system have that? It is 16.04 Oct 20 '18 at 12:04
