Did you remember to run sudo apt-get update first? packages in the security repository tend to get updated often (for obvious reasons) – steeldriver Oct 12 '18 at 0:53
  • Yes, I ran sudo apt-get update, but I would get: "E: Release file for security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/bionic-security/InRelease is not valid yet (invalid for another 3d 21h 33min 13s). Updates for this repository will not be applied.", ], Resolved this by resetting the clock to the correct time. – user5330 Oct 12 '18 at 1:02
