It says Login incorrect.

I cannot find any options or settings to manipulate.

  • The proposed answer in possible duplicate says nothing about what to do if username is forgotten too. Before setting new password, you have to know the username. Type ls /home/ and you will see home directories of users, which usually are also usernames. Another way is to look in password file by typing cat /etc/passwd. You can see all usernames there. – nobody Sep 16 '18 at 18:46
  • Thanks for the help. I was able to see my username and then I restored my password. – sai dharmendra kanneganti Sep 20 '18 at 20:42
