service command working properly for services in /etc/init.d but unable to start,stop, restart other services which graphically exist and can run by clicking them like firefox, tor. I use to run these services graphically or from the directory they placed but when i use service stop/start command it does't work even the firefox/tor is running. it says service.firefox not found. Please help me with this problem Thanku

    Firefox isn't a 'service', it's a single executable you use yourself, and is just 'software' rather than a constantly running at-boot service. Tor is a service so long as it isn't started up by Tor Browser and instead is run by the system. Firefox is not. If you are using Tor Browser, then Tor is not a service, it's launched from within the Tor Browser software. You can't control Firefox or Tor in these cases as 'services'. – Thomas Ward Sep 3 '18 at 15:42
