The company I work for has setup OpenVPN so that it asks for username and certificate password but no user password. Unfortunately, The Gnome popup requires that I enter a user password. I have Googled this one extensively and have been unable to find a way around this. I am able to connect from the command line find. When it prompts for the user password I just hit enter. With the dialog box, the connect is greyed out unless I enter something. I even tried messing around with the source code but I'm not a dev and it didn't work out. I set up an alias for command line and it is working but it would be great if there is something I'm missing so I can just connect from the VPN connections.

I'm on 18.04.1.
