I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 on a Dell Latitude 5480 which has Intel HD Graphics 620. I first noticed a problem when the HDMI output was not working. The graphics drivers don't seem to be working properly, here is the return from my sudo lshw -C display *-display
description: VGA compatible controller product: Intel Corporation vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 2 bus info: pci@0000:00:02.0 version: 04 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pciexpress msi pm vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom configuration: driver=i915 latency=0 resources: irq:129 memory:ee000000-eeffffff memory:d0000000-dfffffff ioport:f000(size=64) memory:c0000-dffff

It sees that it's Intel, but it doesn't seem to know which chipset it is.

Any recommendation on how to resolve this? It's a corporate machine and they won't let me update past 16.04.
