Ubuntu 16.04 rootserver.

Somehow my server does not have a hostname anymore. I tried to rename it from cloud.example.com to mx.example.com

I changed just the values from cloud.example.com to mx.example.com and left the rest the same.

/etc/hosts and /etc/hostname

hostname -f
hostname: No address associated with hostname

Setting of /etc/hosts:

### Hetzner Online GmbH installimage
# nameserver config
# IPv4
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
144.xx.xxx.xxx mx.example.com mx
#
# IPv6
::1     ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts
2a01:xxx:xxx:xxx::x mx.example.com mx

settings of /etc/hostname:

mx

Is there a specific setting I require to rename my server to mx.example.com

(BTW: apt-get update works without issues)

Greetings, Chris
