IT keeps giving this error when i put my password.

I dont know what caused this. i did not restart my laptop for days.

I installed lots of apps.

https://askubuntu.com/a/866032/542960

i tried this.

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install system-config-lvm quit terminal

for this

https://askubuntu.com/a/984952/542960

there is no line in my file for

use_lvmetad

so i added my self but it did not work.

also it gave error when i did

#pvscan --cache

from https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/warning-not-using-lvmetad-because-config-setting-use_lvmetad-0.37188/

Configuration setting "devices/use_lvmetad" unknown.

then i deleted it from

etc/lvm/lvm.conf but after login password entered,

it shows

Configuration setting "use_lvmetad" invalid. It's not part of any section.

and

bottom of it, my first error:

lvmetad is not active yet, using direct activation during sysinit.

/dev/mapper/ubuntu-vg-root: clşean 1489143/15048704 files, xxx / xxx blocks

also tried this but did not do anything

In /etc/default/grub, change:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nomodeset" Then add this line:

GRUB_TERMINAL_INPUT="console serial" Run sudo update-grub and reboot for the changes to take effect.

update

i lost that line

Configuration setting "use_lvmetad" invalid. It's not part of any section.

i got only this

lvmetad is not active yet, using direct activation during sysinit.

/dev/mapper/ubuntu-vg-root: clşean 1489143/15048704 files, xxx / xxx blocks

wait for your help

UPDATE

i login with usb and wrote

sudo fdisk -l

and saw partitions.

dev/sda3 237.5 gb linux lvm sda2 488 mb linux file system sda 1 512mb efi system

update

edit /etc/lvm/lvm.conf and change use_lvmetad=1 to use_lvmetad=0
execute update-initramfs -k *KERNEL_VERSION* -u ;

i did this and lvm error is gone. but now it says dev mapper ubuntu vg root clean....

this did not work https://askubuntu.com/a/830632/542960
