Recently, I changed Ubuntu's language. The library folders (Documents, Music, etc), however, disappeared from the side bar of Nautilus, although strangely Videos and Downloads remained there. These two are also the only ones with specific folder icons. Moreover, the folders in the home folder appeared on the Desktop, even though Desktop file itself is empty.

I would like to revert to the initial state, in which I had all those folders with icons and on the sidebar, and no folders in Desktop.

Thanks in advance.

Output of cat ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs:

XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/Desktop"
XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR="$HOME/Downloads"
XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR="$HOME/Templates"
XDG_PUBLICSHARE_DIR="$HOME/Public"
XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR="$HOME/Documents"
XDG_MUSIC_DIR="$HOME/Music"
XDG_PICTURES_DIR="$HOME/Pictures"
XDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME/Videos"

For my surprise, all the problems were solved after a reboot. No idea how or why.
