I have a problem , since I tried to uninstall python with scikit learn, I think I removed the wrong packages . When I try the following commands:

sudo apt-get upgrade

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

sudo apt-get --purge remove ( or every command with apt for remove or install )

I have this message :

/var/lib/dpkg/info/python-scour.postinst: 6:

 /var/lib/dpkg/info/python-scour.postinst: pycompile: not found
 Errors were encountered while processing:
 apturl-common
 python3-pycurl
 python3-software-properties
 software-properties-common
 software-properties-gtk
 apturl
 python-scour
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I tried to uninstall each of those packages, but I cannot

  • Reinstall the python-minimal package and dependencies. That's what provides pycompile. If apt fails (because it uses parts of Python that you removed), then you many need to resolve and the dependencies manually, download the packages from packages.ubuntu.com, and use dpkg to install. – user535733 May 10 '18 at 15:17
