Whenever I try installing a new package/software using sudo apt-get install and am connected to the internet via my institute LAN, it gives the following error : Failed to fetch http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/u/unity-tweak-tool/unity-tweak-tool_0.0.7ubuntu2_all.deb Cannot initiate the connection to fr.archive.ubuntu.com:80 (2001:860:f70a::2). - connect (101: Network is unreachable) [IP: 2001:860:f70a::2 80]

However it works when I am connected via wifi. Please help regarding this. Thanks

  • Can you access web sites external to your institution? For example stackoverflow or if you paste that link into the address bar, does it open? – namingFailed Mar 18 '18 at 5:25
