What distro packager still works in 2018 that has the following features:
- Creates bootable ISO images
- Can Live-boot with custom kernel parameters
- Can Install from the grub menu (optional)
- Can create a legitimate installation process which can be customized (like ubiquity)
I'm specifically looking for something that someone has tried very recently with Ubuntu 16.04 or newer so please don't link to anything you've only found by Googling as I've probably already tried it.
I've tried every package out there, from Pinguybuilder, to remastersys and its forks, Ubuntu-imager, etc.
I am trying the complete manual process of squashing etc, but it's a very long tedious process which is extremely inefficient for rapid testing/deployment. There used to be many programs and scripts that could do this for you, but it seems most aren't working anymore, they are very buggy, or they don't provide the ability to customize.
