For the messaging menu, I was just referring to the Xubuntu teams announcement on the FAQ page: "Due to constraints unavoidable by the Xubuntu team the messaging menu is not available in Xubuntu 12.10, you must use Xubuntu 12.04 if you wish to have this menu/indicator." |

Will software in Ubuntu work in Xubuntu as well? I think the question is the other way round. I used Xubuntu a lot, and working with nautilus and some panel plugins (then the gnome-panel) has always been a problem under Xubuntu. The same happened now with the messaging plugin: in Xubuntu 12.10 it is not working. SO: It is not 100%, but of cause a large percentage. |
