comment How can I optimise ext4 for reliability?
I just had a server reboot in order to find massive data corruption on ext4 where files contain invalid data. This could not have happened on zfs or btrfs because data has checksums.

comment Can you set passwords in .ssh/config to allow automatic login?
@ScottSeverance I think that is the situation this question refers to. Not having the ability to add a key. Yes it is strange, but it often happens.

I have the same problem. Any reference to a bug report? This happens in 12.10 and 13.04 as well.

comment Fix grub2 after installing ubuntu 12.04
I have the same problem, and none of these answers are correct. My /boot includes the directory /boot/grub/x86_64-efi/normal.mod, so there seems to be a package issue involved in some cases as well (v 12.10).

comment How do I share my Wi-Fi via Wi-Fi Direct on my laptop?
Samsung phones support Wi-Fi Direct. It would be great if the answer explicitly included information on Wi-Fi Direct support under Ubuntu.

A newer version of the driver, compatible with the 3.5 kernel can be found here liteon.com/UserFiles/driver/Module/Network/WLAN/RTL/…

comment Wireless card Realtek RTL8723AE-BT is not recognized
I can confirm that the driver does not work on the 3.5 kernel, even after removing the offending line so that it compiles. A new solution to this problem is needed as as it currently stands, 12.10 is not supported.

That does not work for me. I am getting a long stack trace and this message "rtlwifi-0:rtl_pci_probe():<0-0> Can't register mac80211 hw.".
