On daily basis I deploy, maintain and support one of the largest CDNs in the world. I enjoy working on projects involving automation, monitoring, analysing and tweaking *nix system performance, troubleshooting networks, tinkering with virtualisation, etc.

comment how do you configure ubuntu to run only with tor
Can you ssh to 10.0.3.1 at all without port forwarding? This seems to be your issue that needs solving first.

You mentioned that when you log in via SSH, the script is no longer running. Is it because it terminated or crashed?

comment Galaxy Note II MTP on Ubuntu 12.04

comment Random memory corruption going undetected by memtest86
If you want to exclude problem caused by defective memory modules, I'd definitely try testing one by one with memtest since if you test all of them, even if it detects errors you still wouldn't know which module has caused it.

comment How do I increase the hard disk size of the virtual machine?
Well, you need to understand what modifyhd does, which isn't much more than expanding the underlying virtual disk, that's all. You still need to expand the filesystem that's on it.

comment Is there a way to upgrade a machine which is using software raid and LVM to 12.10?
Just wondering - does the plain old apt-get dist-upgrade not work for such purposes in Ubuntu?
