comment Windows 8.1 is not booting after i installed ubuntu 14.04
Hello. Dual boot into Windows 8.1 is a non-easy task so don't be scared if Windows won't boot at this very moment. Your information is safe, just make sure you don't wipe your HDD. For dual boot Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu, Windows should be shut down, physically. Remember that Windows now has the "fast boot" option enabled by default (read this askubuntu.com/a/452080/9598), after fixing the fast boot issue please refer to this answer and inform if this is helpful for you: askubuntu.com/a/88432/9598 Good luck!

comment On screen Keyboard with uTouch
Ok, so far this is working pretty fine out of the box in an HP Slate 2 in Ubuntu 14.04.2. I yet have an issue on how to switch OS in a dual boot touch screen system with no physical keyboard. Thank you very much!

Reworded to avoid confusion. I wish a command line independient application. Not a command to control kalarm from a terminal. Thank you.

Thank you very much. But I don't wish a "command-line tool to Kalarm?". I am looking for a command line tool which does what KAlarm do. I am rewording my question in order to avoid confusion. Thank you!

Right. But what I am looking for is to stop using kalarm and use an alternative. Thank you very much.

Ehmmm... Excuse me if I am wrong but... Doesn't SSH work for you in this case? Maybe I am misunderstanding the question. Sorry if so.

Hello linstar. Do you mind placing your current files/folders permissions in the body of your question in order to see what you say? If everything seems to be OK with permissions I would go for APP configuration. The config file of your APP may be pointing to a different place where it is not finding what it expects. Which APP is that you are naming "app3" in this question? Please provide this information in order to get a better support. Good luck!

comment macbook pro will not boot ubuntu for install!
Do you mind -please- saying what "specifically", and step by step have you tried so far? The instructions for booting from USB can be found on the Apple support page, something like: support.apple.com/en-us/HT201663 and support.apple.com/en-us/HT201255. I'll wait for your "specific" and step by step answer. Good luck!

comment phpmyadmin: unable to connect to 127.0.0.1
LAMP Does install Apache, MySQL and PHP. By adding the "P" after "lampP" does mean that you already installed PHPMyAdmin? If you didn't it will be useful if you let us know. The solution in the question you refer seems to be for systems which have already installed phpmyadmin, after which you can reach it via localhost/phpmyadmin
