Why can't Ubuntu access my Raspberry Pi across LAN? There's really nothing interesting, just a "connection refused" message: pastebin.com/Nc1W8Mja |

ubuntu 12.10 not updating Hey... another good DNS provider is Google's DNS - they don't screw up nxdomain like OpenDNS does. Primary server is 8.8.8.8 secondary 8.8.4.4. |

Why “sudo apt-get install” doesn't find a package? Hey, if I fixed it, I would appreciate it a lot if you'd click the green checkmark to the left of my answer. This marks your problem as solved, which makes it easier for new users to get help with their Ubuntu issues, also I get some Reputation as a reward for being so helpful (also, you get a little reputation ;) |

Why “sudo apt-get install” doesn't find a package? Please don't say "newest", as this can change over time. The newest LTS release is 12.04 Precise Pangolin(which I use.) The latest Public release is 12.10 Quantal Quetzal. The latest latest release (as of time of writing) is the 13.04 Raring Ringtal beta. So please edit the proper version into your question. (there is an edit link right above this comment, just to the right of "share".) |

How do you make USB bootable on chromebook @mikewhatever Actually, they're Linux-based, once you figure out how to access the Shell, you have access to fdisk, dd, and the whole crew! (yes, even sudo. :) |

Another question about Netflix on Ubuntu Ehh, I've tried that, it didn't work very well. Thanks for mentioning that, though. P.S., spoofing DRM isn't illegal if you don't get caught! ;) (JK) |

Will `sudo reboot` on KVM host gracefully poweroff guest VMs? Something to think about: a shutdown script that would send some sort of "shutdown all VMs" signal to KVM. The idea needs some fleshing out, but if KVM supports command-line control, it wouldn't be too hard to create a simple shutdown script to do that. |
