Problem downloading or installing anything from Software Center The asker said he has 10.04 Lucid Linx which is an LTS edition, and still in support until the end of this month AFAIK. |

Booting does not work What did you try to do? Did you try 'up' and 'down' keys or 'enter' and it didn't work? |

Mouse clicks ignored by applications on 12.10 new install It sounds like a driver problem. I'm not a driver pro, but here's an MS wireless mouse installation guid, I hope it will help you. |

Can I choose the position of a partition while installing Ubuntu as a dual boot with Windows? Don't know about 13.04, but if all else fails, I guess you can partition your HD using GParted, leave a non-partitioned space where you want 13.04 to be, and then use the free space option on the installer. Unless something is really different with 13.04. |

C and D 300 Gb drives in one machine How to install on D and do dual boot? The question is mainly about how to partition and dual-boot, and we are talking about two separate hard drives. In such a case win8 boot system can simply be bypassed by setting the boot-sequence in the BIOS. |

How to create a bootable USB to install Windows 7 on Linux? did you try unetbootin with instructions? I know it's a buggy tool but if it worked for someone it may work for you too if you follow in his footsteps. Have good luck anyway, I wish I could help more. |

Ubuntu 12.04 - not able to hibernate [error creating hibernate image] I think this isn't the common recommendation today for large amounts of RAM. See link this post about Redhat's swap size recommendation, Ubuntu may have it's own recommendation. But if you have enough disk space and you want to hibernate, swap of 1.5 or 3 times your ram is the best way to get it done, because you can always end up hibernating your system when your ram is overloaded and some swap is used. It is also good to close any unnecessary programs/threads before hibernating. |

What happens to my Swap space if I choose to replace Windows with Ubuntu? To add to what @ObsessiveSSOℲ said, here is a video tutorial explaining the process. You can even view it from the live session. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_trEVXBgLg |

screen DPI - is there and equivalent command/action to Windows 150% Display BTW, as I edited, it's VB, and AFAIK there is no way to adjust the display to window size. But maybe you can prove me wrong? hopefully? |
