comment KDE appearance broken after using systemsettings
Thanks. This didn't actually work; I had already tried it. For some reason, however, deleting the new ~/.kde/ folder that had been generated and then moving the old one back into place fixed the problem. Maybe I needed to keep this one in place and just move the various other KDE configuration files I moved.

Here's an archived version: web.archive.org/web/20110312103407/http://faq.oit.gatech.edu/… I don't remember why exactly I used those instructions.

comment Can not access Internet (DNS names do not resolve) after update today
In Ubuntu 13.04 I had the same problem, but I had to move the folder /etc/resolvconf to fix it. Thank you!

comment How to set PcManFm as the default file manager?
You can run PcManFm as your desktop manager by running pcmanfm --desktop. You can then add this to command to startup applications.

comment Apt-get install multiple packages without stopping
Thanks, that's useful. However, it seems to only wget the packages, not install them.

I wanted to use this for a bash script, so Synaptic is not an option.

I meant how to make the global appmenu replace the titlebar in gnome-panel like in Unity.
