comment How I can see my shares from remote through Internet
Hi guys, Sry, a bit late to reply u.I was a bit bzy with something else. Anyway, I am using SAMBA within my local network, not for WAN. I am looking something, through which I could see all of my shares from anywhere in the world and get access to them. By-the-way, I don't know how to lock SAMBA as well, and how to test that SAMBA is locked from outside world.

comment How USB drives goes after system hard drives
But, in my case in Ubuntu - whatever USB drive devices I connect, it comes at the beginning as sda,sdb,sdc,.. then show my hard drive as sdd. As parteek advices to use device ID, the problem solved temporarily though. But I have to specify each of my devices with device ID in fstab. It's not possible...each time I connect new USB or old USB drives. I am looking to appear them after my hard drive designation (not as sda, sdb,.. but may be as sdf,sdg,etc...).

To nfirvine - about 2nd comment. See in Windows usually we have C, D, E drives for the Hard Drives. And when plugged-in some other drive devices (USB Camera,Mobile, etc), they appeared after hard drives letters, say F,G,H,..

Even with UUID, I have to specify each of my drives individually. But I am looking automation, like Windows usually does - all of hard drives should at the beginning and then USB Drives. I have other desktop, laptop and tablet PC as well. All might will have same problem, if I wish to use Uubuntu 12.04. Thnx again

I m using a bit older laptops: HP 2133 and Acer 1310. I checked my BIOS though. It's boot order to CDRom first, then Hard drive, then others.
