My Stackexchange Website Proposals

I proposed a new stackexchange site, pharmacy stackexchange please help me in gathering support for it becoming beta ($\beta$)! It will be for pharmacists, doctors and medical researchers.

About Me

I am a Ubuntu and Android user. I like learning about drugs (here's a blog I made on general medical stuff [Disclaimer: NOT FOR PERSONAL MEDICAL ADVICE])

Feel free to contact me through email and facebook so long as you keep a clean and civil tongue from what I can tell (including statuses) and do not offend me or my friends.

Best Office Suite for Ubuntu is a blog I made on the best Office Suite for Ubuntu. The comparison is based on reviews in the software centre, sourceforge.net and CNET with negatives and positives pointed out based on the reviews in the software centre.

OK, but this is a deb file not provided in the software centre, this is one I downloaded from the net. I ran it (your code) and it failed

Oh hey mate! I retried it and it worked with wine tricks! I'll accept your answer!

Ubuntu is a Linux distribution, not a separate entity from Linux.

I do have other wine programs installed firstly, secondly I'm running 32 bit. Perhaps that makes a difference.

I've tried all you've described and it failed. It was MS Office 2007 too.

Interesting how you mentioned Apache OpenOffice I've tried getting it -- you can't on 12.10. It did work on 12.04 and when I used it its equation editor was identical to that of LibreOffice and as insufficient. As for Calligra its formula editor is inadequate.

Good point, thanks for that. Rofl didn't expect to say that to such a comment but you've opened my eyes to that dilemma.

For those that believe this is a duplicate, this isn't as the question mentioned by cnavigator is interested in specifics like features and such I am more interested in how the clients do overall or in general.

I know that I am well-educated in LaTeX already. In fact I used to use LaTeX to type equations more efficiently in MS Word when I used it on my Windows 7 OS. My previous comment was about if there's any better LaTeX editors or for that matter any office suites with equation editors that are better.
