I am an American x-pat living in China. I came to China originally as a tourist and stayed to avoid my wife, now x-wife. I have built 3 primary schools in China. Now with limited funds, I try to maintain the schools. I also provide modest scholarships for minority students in China for Junior High School, High School and University. I have had about 300 scholarship students and presently support about 30 students. I teach English privately at no charge here in China. I am also interested in boxing. I am the Supervisor of the WBC ABC China Boxing Zone. I first became interested in computers in the 1970's using punch cards and an huge Sperry Rand computer. In the early 1980's I bought an Epson computer (8086) with 2 floppy drives (with no hard drive) and a monochrome monitor using DOS 3.2. My first program was MS Works. I loved Microsoft then as they were not IBM and they provided good products with good tutorials. Microsoft has changed. Now I am trying to make Ubuntu work for me for the third time.
