comment Backup software sources and reinstall: get latest versions of installed programs from the repository for new distribution
@muru I have installed 14.04 alongside 12.04. Now I have a fresh install of 14.04 with no softwares installed. I thought of importing my sources.list from 12.04 and install the softwares. Now, should I manually look at my 12.04 sources.list and install them in 14.04 ?

comment Fixing GRUB error: “error: unknown filesystem”
Excellent. These steps solved by issue. Just make sure that /dev/sda is your harddisk, which is the case most of the time.

comment calibre - Error converting with “Enable Heuristic processing” checked
I just found out that this problem occurs only when last 3 options (remove unneccesary hyphens, italicize common words and patterns, replace entity indents with CSS indents) is unchecked in "Enable Heuristic processing" window. When all are checked, the conversion works. But my personal conversion configuration will have the last 3 option unchecked. Should I file this as a bug to the calibre team ?

comment Updating calibre in 12.04 without losing the library
the update worked. But the new version is stuck at 1% too. Any ideas ? Should I ask this problem as the question ? I think the problem is not with the version.
