comment How to restore Nautilus default settings
I think you have "leftovers" from Gnome packages. Especially that shadow thing around the window is a Gnome thing. I don't know how to help though.

Try deleting the ~/.config/nautilus directory.

comment Unable to Install Wine on Ubuntu 14.04.2?
Just use playonlinux, which manages any desired wine version, depending on what you want to install and works fine with the Ubuntu default bundled version of wine.

comment Ubuntu 15.04 not using swap
I am not sure, but you seem to have messed up something in your fstab. In my Ubuntu 15.04 installation the entries are UUID based, not device name based. In any case, as indicated below, the fourth option should be "sw", not "defaults". Although I don't know whether this should cause any trouble.

comment How to install windows 8.1 , when I have a windows 7 and ubuntu 14.04 running side by side?
I don't know about that, I suppose you could try it, it should not touch the data within your Ubuntu partition (proceed with caution though). I would recommend to try and activate using the product key from within Windows first.
