comment I tried to use the software updater but it doesn't give the upgrade option
Not even an Ubuntu server system notices it as being out of Beta yet.

The only way it seems is to do a sudo do-release-upgrade -d. For some reason even though the site shows it as available for download now the system still sees it as a Beta release. COME ON UBUNTU! Fix your stuff I say!

comment recreate list of installed packages from mounted HD 11.10 into 12.04?
This is not a duplicate of the above question. This question asks how to get a list of a "mounted" drive not current running OS. This question must be answered using CHRoot not the method in the other question. Please re-open this question so I may answer it correctly.

Yeah, they are all in that folder. Can I make my own Pixmaps folder then as I did icons and themes?

Well all their icons are in that folder under hicolor and gnome. I've tried copying those two folders and the icons files themselves into my .icons folder but still doesn't find them. This is my .icons folder: i.imgur.com/1FVHz41.png

comment Why am I seeing “freezing tabs” in Chrome after upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04?
Sorry, I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 NOT Xubuntu install. It's an original Ubuntu upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10, then 12.04 on Fri. Once upgraded I installed XFCE4 to use as main desktop, so it's Ubuntu not Xubuntu. Also, I tried going to the mentioned pages with ALL extensions disabled and still same results.

GOT IT!!! After going through the protector.py file that was being called I found out that the clipboard history file is located in ~/.local/share/pastie. Come to find out it was choking on something I copied in the past and was just sitting in that history file. So I deleted the file and WALLA!! It work's! Thanks
