comment Prevent .zargo files to be opened as compressed files
Thanks for your help. Please update your answer with this extra information. I also added application/x-argo-uml-diagram=argouml.desktop line in /usr/share/applications/defaults.list to make ArgoUML open zargo files. And to set icon I used help.ubuntu.com/community/AddingMimeTypes

comment share folders between two Ubuntu 12.04 machines
I would not recommend to use it on public networks, smb protocols is used for private(home) networks. On public networks I recommend to use SFTP(SSH FTP)

If Gparted see your hdd, than the problem is in partition table. Only one thing helped me to solve the problem: i've made a backup of all important data on my portable hdd and fully format laptop hdd with Gparted and creation of new mbr partition table.

Strange, it says that it doesn't know dropbox. Try to edit this dropbox file and write full dropbox path Exec=/usr/bin/dropbox start -i

I mean try to open it from nautilus. Press Ctrl+H to see hidden files and go '.config/autostart' folder. It may say that this desktop file is untrusted launcher, if so than you need to add executation permission(Properties->Permissions->Allow executing file as program)

Also, try to open that desktop file and see if it will start dropbox.
