In case you'd like to use a startup or shortcut command, no need to install Arandr or any other additional software. xrandr does the job .

You must be referring to wait. However, it works the other way around, it waits for a process (pid) to terminate. To do what you want, you need to wait for the process (name) to appear.

Could you add the output of xrandr somewhere if your setup is correct? It is a bug, bug still can be fixed with a workaround.
