Scanner detected with sane-find-scanner, but not with scanimage -L or sudo scanimage -L @Crynix thanks that would be great as I've tried compiling sane backends from src from different versions in git and no luck. I should also mention that I'm using the pre-installed sane from 12.04 though I don't think that would make a difference. And I assume also you used the 1300i_0D12.nal firmware file? |

Scanner detected with sane-find-scanner, but not with scanimage -L or sudo scanimage -L @Crynix could you confirm that you were able to get your s1300i actually outputting scans? As I've had a similar experience to @petur and only get scanimage: sane_start: Error during device I/O when trying to scan using scanimage after compiling the current git HEAD of sane from src as well as the commit that matched the 1.0.23 release. |

'Cannot access secondary GPU' error with Bumblebee ok, thats the same as I have. Could you provide some more information in your question about which version of ubuntu you are using?, what you have already done so far (eg. which PPA's you have added), etc. |

How can I make the workspace switcher in Unity 2D show more than one row of workspaces? For future reference this still works in 12.04 for those that need to alter the workspace layout in Unity 2D. |

Wifi for Centrino Wireless-N 1000 Intel Corporation (HP pavillion dm4 - 2070us) is not working I just checked on my laptop and no, I don't have UNCLAIMED next time the entry for the N 1000. Could you post the output of your dmesg | grep iwl ? that may have some useful info about whats happening when the ucode is being loaded by the driver. |

Wifi for Centrino Wireless-N 1000 Intel Corporation (HP pavillion dm4 - 2070us) is not working Sorry that was my mistake, using the older version of the microcode did not actually fix it for me, what did was disabling 802.11 N, I've updated my answer to the other question to reflect this. |

Wifi for Centrino Wireless-N 1000 Intel Corporation (HP pavillion dm4 - 2070us) is not working I updated my answer with more information since I discovered that switching to the older firmware do not in fact actually work for me. THe real resolution to this of course is to get the intel kernel driver guys or some other helpful kernel dev to come up with an actual fix to this issue and have ubuntu ship the updated driver. |
