Strange, I believe this was straight from my config file. I haven't actually tried it on Ubuntu, though, as I run a different distro myself. Maybe you could try adding set -x LESS="-R" to the end of your config?

@Cerin In many distros, you may add a line to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf. Not sure if it's the same for ubuntu... You typically add Option "SingleTapTimeout" "360" to an InputClass section for touchpads. If you're lazy, and don't want to figure out how to do this, you can always create a cronjob or startup script executing the command instead.

@bkd.online It's a netbook, and I'm talking about the touchpad, not a ps2 mouse, though I don't know how the trackpad is connected internally. However, I've moved on to archlinux now, so it isn't really a problem for me anymore. (Do people even use ps2 mice anymore?)

comment Mac like MultiTouch support
I get a segfault when i try to run touchegg installed from the repositories on 12.10 beta 2, I think it's related to this bug: bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/touchegg/+bug/918551, apparently the version in the repositories is bad.
