Can I backup my Windows partition with Acronis and then reinstall it inside a virtual machine? Yes, Marko it would be a lot easier to just install it in virtual box. An add the software or media you had on your windows partition . On a side note vmware has tools that can do what you are looking. If you are willing to pay for it that is. |

Raid install, do I need a driver Is it a hardware or software RAID Software would only work correctly in windows(or with the software that created it) and fail in Linux. If it was hardware RAID you would need a driver for the raid controller if Linux failed to load it. |

SSH into Ubuntu VM remotely How is the VM networked with host. If it behind a NAT (default on virtual box). It wouldn't work but a bridged connection should work provided you forwarded the ports correctly. |
