comment How to share internet access between Ubuntu and Windows guests OS in VirtualBox?
Should be noted that what Azendale mentions is correct. But in the point about iptables it saves the time of doing it and the knowledge for it (iptables is really easy anyway once you get to using it) and the second part about windows is also VERY correct ^^. +1 for a nice add.

comment What Are My Options For 4-or-more-input Audio Recording?
@Jason - Can you provide an example. Am really interested in knowing which cards do not yet have support and which do since I also work as some kind of consultant for several people. Knowing this helps me and more in checking when the support will arrive.

Happy to know is not an end of the world countdown. I thought I was never going to see the final release of 11.10. I don't like it when the world ends and I can't see the next version of Ubuntu ^^.

Have you tried Ubuntu 11.04 or Ubuntu 10.10 since maybe 10.10 or 11.04 have fixed the issue.

Don confuse Kb with the IEC KiB. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kibibyte 512KiB is 512 KiloBytes, that means 512KB/Sec in terms of transfer. Your equation is for bits and not bits exactly but human readable ones when you multiply by 1000 instead of 1024.

comment Filezilla uploads at 80KB/Sec Max
In my comment above I already explained that by using ssh or rsync I have a much better speed, so point 1 and 2 are not the problem. For point 3 I have not changed any of the default values for filezilla. Already checked for limiting options and none have something that says to limit my upload.

When using scp o rsync I can go to the same server as fast as 440KiB. for the filezilla am using FTP and SSH. But if I use ssh from console via scp o rsync it goes faster than filezilla.

comment How can I install Linux Kernel 3.0 in 11.04?
Just to point that any version (not just related to the 3.0, 3.1, 2.6.40 or whatever we want to call it) has many changes over the previous ones. Many changes from drivers to filesystem updates/changes to network connectivity, to video solutions to anything you can imagine. In kernelnewbies.org you can see that each version holds more than 500+ changes. Sometimes more than 1000+ (Not taking into consideration the lines of code). So any small jump, small as it may be has BIG CHANGES.
