You need to install Ubuntu 14.04 and not 7.10 in order for us to help you since 7.10 is unsupported.

When the issue is about Ubuntu then they can send you here. Whoever told you to post here was very much mistaken or did not take the time to read your problem.

comment Ubuntu 10.04 web server
I highly recommend upgrading yourself to Ubuntu 14.04. There is much less headaches, work and stress from jumping to 14.04 than still dealing with 10.04, no matter how much work you put on it. 10.04 is 2 LTS behind in so many ways, I recommend saving yourself the trouble and simply upgrading to the 14.04 server version, which just had it's first point release yesterday, 14.04.1.

comment Installing Ubuntu on unbootable XP
@quik Hi buddy, the steps should be like this: 1. Create pendrive with Live ISO. 2. Boot from it. 3. After booting from pendrive you can create partitions, install OS, etc.. I recommend either using the USB Live Creator from Ubuntu from another ubuntu PC or using unetbootin or even using Live USB Creator. One of this 3 has to work on your case. Also try changing USB slot on the PC, just in case the slot has a problem. You can even install Ubuntu on another PC simply by taking the HDD out and putting it in another PC and doing the whole installation there, just in case the original pc has issue

Great quik. you might want to try another pendrive. One time I had problems with both of my pendrives and my wife had one spare one. It worked with her pendrive. My pendrives hated me. Am selling hating pendrives if you would like one ^^.

comment How to install requests module for Python 3.1 ubuntu server 10.04?
I really REALLY highly extremely recommend and ask that you update yourself to 14.04 where you will find less python issues (A lot less) than staying with a 4 year old version of Ubuntu.
