Please use the wine ppa. It should be offering the 1.7.25 version and not have that issue.

comment How to change Teamviewer ID after cloning
I firts it would seem this would fix that problem, even with the variables inside the file, but actually after deleting the whole config file in both, the opt folder and on the .config folder, the problem is the same. I am guessing this should be something the teamviewer team should check out for cases where one wants to clone and have a quick way of solving it.

comment How to fix “The system is running in low-graphics mode” error?
@schwiz I suggest to create a question about it. It could be missing configuration file, wrong configuration setup and more.

This is not a wine error so much as a dependency issue. When you solve the dependency issue, the rest will follow.

comment Web Wireframe App
WOW!, this app is really cool. A couple of things though. Let us say somebody mistakenly installs the "pencil" app found in the Software Center because that someone saw the image here I thought that this app was in the Software Center, he/she would be installing the wrong app. The correct app is in the link provided. It gets worse for that someone if he/she tries to install the correct app after installing the "Pencil" app from the Software Center, they both use a pencil bin file and would conflict over at /bin. That someone would suffer until uninstalling the Software Center "pencil" app.

We need more information Chris. Output from lsusb, lspci and the last 25 lines of dmesg after connecting the webcam will help more than the information provided up to now.

comment Updated. Triple-BOOT: Windows 7/8 and Ubuntu (7/8 already installed)
Just some additional information, Having Windows (No matter what version) is still considered one booting system. Inside the Windows boot manager, both are handled as the same, you only choose which one you want when you are already inside the Windows boot system. In your case you are actually Dual Booting (Ubuntu / Windows). If you choose Windows then you are shown the Windows boot manager which would show Windows 7 / 8. Triple booting would be something like Mac / Windows / Ubuntu (FreeBSD, Microsoft, Linux)

@NateLockwood there is no harm leaving it there, but sure, you can comment it out to remove the shared resource.
