comment Why doesn't the command upgrade work
@muru I would guess because of the way it is pronounced but still, 99.99% of all sites that show that will show how to type it correctly.

@muru Really? If that is true then the question will be closed for the user did not even take the time to see he was typing it wrong.

@Takkat Many thanks, in my case, I happened to have a USB headphone (Basically not connected to the internal audio system). Will update the answer.

comment How do I install the Nvidia drivers?
@Fabby Your comment has killed a cat... also that is why I added the Link there as a "Xorg title". But yes, I will follow your excellent advice and point to this. Thanks buddy.

comment The program 'sed' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing [sed: not found]
How did you end up affecting sed in there?

comment How do I install Landscape for personal use?
Currently there is no "landscape-server-quickstart" in 14.10. What steps should I follow now in this particular case where I am testing everything in a LAN.

@EmilBorconi don't worry friend, we appreciate your feedback and they help anybody that reads this in the future.

comment How to check Internet Speed via Terminal?
@EmilBorconi You are correct but in real life, we are not doing benchmarking Internet speeds here, this are just your average current speed tests of any home user without the need for sites like speedtest. A download speed (Which is enough for anyone trying to see if they are having a bottleneck) is a good enough test. A full down/up speed test would check what the full scope of your speed is based on your ISP. So yeah that would be the best solution, but for any fast test scenario, even a simple wget would do the trick since normally people worry more about download speed than upload.

@rubo77 You can still access the menu by leaving SHIFT pressed or ESC (Don't remember which right now). Or tapping at one of those.

comment How does `>` and `>>` work?
@EmilJeřábek you are correct. Still users that do not know how it behaves will have it easier if we go step by step with only the commands. Also your example is still sending the information to the same file, so bash will read that whole line, see the output and still open AND truncate it. The error is simply the stderr outputting to stdout.

comment How does `>` and `>>` work?
Correct, was looking for easier words to explain. Since it is a bit hard to explain if the OP does not know what a shell it and all that. Trying to make it as "friendly" as possible.

comment Too much noise while recording on 12.10
This was the solution for me, especially since this is my first time using headphones in the past 6 years and the Preference was still using the camera mic instead of the headphones. I would also add to this that the volume control in the Kazam preferences is used to know how much volume you want to capture. It is not related to the actual mic volume found in the Sound Settings of Ubuntu. In my case I put the kazam mic volume 100% and then adjusted the Sound volume to meet the correct amount.
