comment How to use firefox sync?
That's too bad. If you feel like taking another stab at it, typing "about:sync-log" into the address bar should display the log directory. You should see something like "1349086607927 Sync.Engine.Bookmarks DEBUG Engine initialized" in the files. The leftmost number is a Unix timestamp that you can convert with a tool like this one: epochconverter.com

In that case I think you may be out of luck. I was thinking about a "-quiet" switch as in a command line: "deja-dup -quiet".

comment Incorrect song length in Banshee
It affects about 5 out of 4000 songs, so I really think there's something wrong with the information in the audio files. Can I edit this information somehow?

It has to be started somewhere, probably at login. Try checking startup applications in system settings. There might be a command that you can modify.

I don't get it. If you type deja-dup > /dev/null, doesn't that start Deja Dup?

comment How to use firefox sync?
Does nothing synchronize at all, even after waiting a while, restarting firefox, and so on? In that case you should try disconnecting one computer from sync and then adding it again. That might make a difference.

Did your remember the "." at the end, with a space in front of it? That's important.

comment Creating alias and script alias in Apache
It seems that the aliases are at least working. I would suggest trying to add the CGI scripts directly to a folder in the web root to make things easier. There is a tutorial here that explains the steps needed. It should work nicely. ubuntugeek.com/…

You will need to prepend the protocol to use for the connection. You can try git clone git://ind-git.corp.nextag.com . or git clone ssh://ind-git.corp.nextag.com . As far as I can tell, however, the domain ind-git.corp.nextag.com doesn't even exist.

Try adding the line AddHandler cgi-script .cgi, like I've done above. Does this change anything?

I have edited my question. Try this version, type sudo servie apache2 restart and then point you browser to `http://<host>/lg/lg.cgi. What do you see, and what is the output of the command above?
