comment Does “old” rsh exist in Ubuntu?
Many thanks for that @Oli - would never have guessed there are two implementations of rsh; great to know this. Cheers!

comment Does “old” rsh exist in Ubuntu?
Many thanks, @GeraldSchneider - indeed, just installed it, and now rsh is not ssh anymore; and there is a rsh-server package too... Could you post this as an answer so I can accept it?

comment Fonts in menu are larger than they should be under Awesome WM
Just wanted to say thanks - and also, if you're just experimenting and resources aren't an issue - one can also run gnome-settings-daemon to theme application fonts running in awesome-wm (but apparently, this doesn't include possible theming of application buttons; e.g. firefox keeps its (apparently) original forward and back buttons). Thanks again - cheers!

comment How to autostart a .sh after login?
I would believe, /etc/rc.local runs before X does (and thus, even before the login greeter); which means /etc/rc.local is not appropriate for doing things "after login".
