Thank you very much! The fglrx available at repos screws up compositing (and not at all reducing power consumption as compared to the generic graphic driver). This worked :)

instead of changing directory then running, run java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar /home/myuser/minecraft-server1/minecraft_server.jar nogui & and java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar /home/myuser/minecraft-server2/minecraft_server.jar nogui &. Does that work??

set up windows first, because windows will overwrite your boot menu if installed afterwards, and you'll have to manually write ubuntu's entry
