comment Keyboard shortcuts not working anymore in xfce
I have the same problem which started recently on Ubuntu 14.04. Some keys work (Alt-F4) but not all (Alt-F2), and I think none of the keys I set in the XFCE keyboard shortcuts work

comment How do I make Thunderbird open links in Chromium?
Helpful to use x-www-browser; however setting the above preference didn't make a difference for me - setting the warn value as recommended by Vitaly did

comment How to use the latest version of flash on Ubuntu?
Note that this is an alternative flash implementation, not the latest official flash version; of course it does achieve what the question asks

Agreed, this is a duplicate of that question - can someone mark it as such?

comment Why do I need root privileges to umount a drive at the command line, but not in nautilus? How to change?
The rights to do this are no longer present (as of Ubuntu 12.10) - however the answer below with gvfs-mount now works

comment How can I unmount user-mounted disks under /media/$username from the command-line?
Thanks - I know how to do that, and I'm actually happy to let my user unmount anything. But it still seems it would be more logical to allow the user to unmount these items as they can do from the UI. What gives the gnome-disks application the right to do this without sudo rights for these particular mounts?

comment How can I use the Gnome clock applet (or equivalent) in Xfce?
Actually the default clock now also supports a calendar dropdown as far as I can see. The shame is that it doesn't combine the weather (not for one city, and not for multiple). Anyway, living with them separately now
